Technical Issues Impacting 911 System Resolved
Update: Hawai‘i Island police report that the technical issues affecting its communications center and 911 call system have been resolved.
Original Story: Big Island police are reporting technical issues are affecting the emergency 911 system.
The Hawai‘i Police Department said in a media advisory at 12:26 p.m. today (Monday, July 18), that anyone experiencing an emergency should call the police department’s nonemergency line at 808-935-3311 while the technical issues persist.
An update will be provided when the 911 system is restored.
Hawai‘i Police Department thanks the public for its patience while this problem is being corrected.
