Weekly COVID Update: 519 New Infections Confirmed on Big Island

The state Department of Health reported 4,464 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, July 13, bringing the statewide total to 317,540. Eleven new fatalities were reported.

A total of 519 new infections were reported Wednesday on the Big Island. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

  • O‘ahu: 220,217
  • Hawaiʻi: 35,179
  • Maui: 36,143
  • Kaua‘i: 16,082
  • Moloka‘i: 1,173
  • Lana‘i: 767
  • Pending: 0
  • Out-of-State: 7,979

Of those total cases, 10,561 required hospitalization, with 164 currently hospitalized. At least 1,535 have died since the pandemic began. Hospitalization data is updated Monday through Friday, except on state and federal holidays.
