No Injuries Following Structure Fire in Pāhoa

No injuries were reported following a structure fire in Pāhoa early Sunday morning.

Hawaiʻi Fire Department responded to the incident at 12:40 a.m. on Kono Street off of Pāhoa Village Road. When they arrived on scene, crews found a medium-sized plantation-era single-family post and pier wood structure engulfed in flames.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze. According to HFD, no occupants or bystanders were in the area and there was no electrical service to the structure.

Hawaiʻi police also responded and remained in the area to create a safe scene during fire extinguishment operations.

Fire was extinguished and overhauled with no occupants found in the structure. The incident is currently under investigation.
