The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly list of road and lane closures for July 9-15. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE (ROUTE 11) —

1) KEA‘AU

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 3 and 6, E Palai Street and Wiliama Street, on Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 5 and 7, Ikaika Street and Keaau Loop, on Saturday, July 9 through Monday, July 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder stabilization work.

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 6 and 8, Kipimana Street and Keaau 9 ½ mile, on Saturday, July 9 through Monday, July 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 56 and 58, Nīnole Loop Road and Alanui Road, on Saturday, July 9 through Friday, July 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

2) CAPTAIN COOK (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 93and 95, ‘Ohia Malu Road and Kukui O Pae Place, on Saturday, July 9 through Monday, July 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree mulching and grass cutting.

— HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HILO

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 4 and 6, Kulana Kea Drive and Ka‘aukai Place, on Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree mulching, mowing, and shoulder work.

2) HILO (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 6 and 8, Ka‘aukai Place and Hanawi Street, on Saturday, July 9 through Monday, July 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree mulching, mowing, and shoulder work.

3) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction near mile marker 13.8, near Kolekole Beach Park, on Saturday, July 9 through Friday, July 15, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for bridge repair work.

4) HONOMŪ (24/7 RESTRICTION)

Kolekole Bridge at mile marker 14.27 on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) is weight restricted to 12 tons (24,000 lbs.) until further notice. The speed limit in the area is reduced to 25 mph.

— KALANIANA‘OLE AVENUE (ROUTE 19) —

1) HILO (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kalaniana‘ole Avenue (Route 19) possible in either direction between Kamehameha Avenue and Kauhane Avenue, on Monday evening, July 11 through Friday morning, July 15, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for adjusting manholes, cold planning, resurfacing and reconstruction of existing pavement.

— KEA‘AU-PĀHOA ROAD/ PĀHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) PĀHOA

Single lane closure on Pāhoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction near mile marker 15.4, Alaili Road, on Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement and guardrail improvements.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

1) KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.9 and 6.9, Saddle Road and Cross Island Road, on Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for shoulder widening, installation of rumble strips and other safety improvements.

2) KAMUELA

Right lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) in the southbound direction near mile marker 5.6, in the vicinity of Saddle Road, on Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for construction of a new access road.

— ‘AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) KOHALA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on ‘Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 2and 7, Ka‘ewa Place and Ka‘ala Road, on Saturday, July 9 through Monday, July 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work, tree trimming, and general landscaping.

2) KOHALA

Single lane closure on ‘Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 5 and 10, Kohala Ranch Road and Kaiholena Place, on Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work and tree trimming.
