The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly list of road and lane closures for June 11-17. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) HILO

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 3 and 5, E Palai Street and Ikaika Street, on Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 7 and 9, Kea‘au Loop and North Road, on Monday, June 13-17, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

3) PĀHALA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 56 and 58, Nīnole Loop Road and Alanui Road, on Monday, June 13-17, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

4) CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 102 and 104, Māmalahoa Highway and Telephone Exchange Road, on Monday, June 13-17, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree mulching and shoulder work.

— HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HILO

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile marker 2.5, Wailuku Stream Bridge from Shipman Street to Iliahi Street, on Monday, June 13 through Tuesday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for bridge improvements.

2) PAPAIKOU

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 7 and 8, near Ka‘apoko Homestead Road, on Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree mulching, shoulder work and sidearm mowing.

3) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction near mile marker 13.8, near Kolekole Beach Park, on Friday, June 10 through Friday, June 17, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for bridge repair work.

4) HONOMŪ (24/7 RESTRICTION)

Kolekole Bridge at mile marker 14.27 on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) is weight restricted to 12 tons (24,000 lbs.) until further notice.

— KEA‘AU-PĀHOA ROAD/ PĀHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) KEA‘AU

Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 3, Highway 130 intersection with Hawai‘i Belt Road and Kea‘au High School, on Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder grading and mulching.

2) KEA‘AU

Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 3, Highway 130 intersection with Hawai‘i Belt Road and Kea‘au High School, on Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for installation of traffic loop detectors.

3) PĀHOA

Single lane closure on Pāhoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction near mile marker 15.4, Alaili Road, on Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement and guardrail improvements.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

1) KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.9 and 6.9, Saddle Road and Cross Island Road, on Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for shoulder widening, installation of rumble strips and other safety improvements.

2) KAMUELA

Right lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) in the southbound direction near mile marker 5.6, in the vicinity of Saddle Road, on Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for construction of a new access road.

— ‘AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) KOHALA

Single lane closure on ‘Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 4 and 7, Lele Naia Drive and Ka‘ala Road, on Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work and restoration.
