Strong Winds Expected Till Monday Morning

A wind advisory is in effect for Hawai‘i Island from 6 p.m. this evening until 6 a.m. Monday, the National Weather service announced Saturday afternoon.
East winds 40 to 45 mph with localized gusts around 55 mph are expected on Big Island summits.
Strong winds can make driving difficult. The winds can forcefully open doors and damage hinges or slam doors shut, possibly causing injuries.
