Police Seek Two Missing East Hawai‘i Teens

Big Island police are asking for the public’s help with finding two East Hawai‘i teens who are missing.

The Hawai‘i Police Department said in a community message that 17-year-old Kyra Kaeha and 16-year-old Bronson Histo were reported as runaways in separate incidents.

Kaeha was reported as a runaway May 11 and was last seen in the area of Hoku Street in Hilo. She is known to frequent the Hilo area. She is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, with shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes.

Histo was reported as a runaway and last seen May 31 in the Mountain View area, wearing surf shorts, a white shirt, a red baseball cap and shoes. He is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who might have information about either teen’s whereabouts is asked to call the police department’s nonemergency line at 808-935-3311.

Anyone with information about Kaeha’s whereabouts is asked to contact Officer Bradley Waiki at [email protected]. Anyone with knowledge of Histo’s whereabouts is asked to contact Officer Chezvis Carveiro of Puna Patrol at 808-965-2716.
