3 Big Island Students Receive Degrees from Creighton University

Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., recently conducted commencement exercises and three students from the Big Island were among those to receive degrees.

Creighton graduated nearly 2,000 students this May. The students from the Big Island who received degrees were:

  • Caitlin Hirata of Hilo received a bachelor of science degree.
  • Laryssa Takiue of Hilo graduated cum laude, receiving a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
  • Nathan Yoshida of Hilo graduated summa cum laude and received a bachelor of science degree.

Creighton University is one of 27 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States. The Omaha campus has more than 8,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional students among nine schools and colleges.
