9 Arrested During Warrant Sweep in Puna

Nine wanted individuals were arrested for a total of 10 outstanding warrants and other crimes during an interagency warrant sweep consisting of officers from the Hawai‘i Police Department, Hawaii State Sheriff’s Department, and the Department of Land and Natural Resources that was conducted in Puna on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. The warrants were for contempt of court and violating conditions of bail.

The four men and five women arrested are:

Gary Horvath, age 34
Joshua Stubbert, age 35
Guy Nobriga, age 28
Leihulu Watson, age 49 (not pictured)
Shivonne Kahee, age 24
Nohealani Balai, age 31
Momilani Florendo, age 36
Christopher Asagra, age 51
Jessica Nasario, age 39

During the warrant sweep, officers also recovered a motor vehicle with drug paraphernalia and arrested the lone occupant, Christopher Asagra, for third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug.

Police ask anyone with any information relative to the whereabouts of other wanted fugitives to call the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 808-961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
