Hilo Man Charged With Firearm Offenses

Ossian Scott Graham

A 27-year-old Hilo man was arrested and charged with possession of an unserialized semi-automatic handgun and felon in possession offenses in relation to an April 23 incident in Hilo.

Ossian Scott Graham was also arrested for three unrelated outstanding warrants, Prosecuting Attorney Kelden Waltjen announced late Friday evening.

Graham, who has eight prior felony convictions, was charged with five offenses including place to keep pistol or revolver; owner or possession of firearm prohibited; ownership or possession of ammunition prohibited, manufacturing, purchasing, or obtaining a firearm parts to assemble a firearm having no serial number; and carrying or possessing a loaded firearm on a public highway.

All five offenses are class B felonies and carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
Graham made his initial appearance on Thursday in Hilo District Court. His bail is $125,000 and his preliminary hearing is May 23.
