Teen Runaway Sought

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Kayden Dereis, who was reported as a runaway.
Dereis was last seen in the Kea‘au area on Wednesday, May 4 at approximately 1 p.m. He was last seen wearing gray sweat pants and a red hoodie.
Dereis is described as being fair in complexion with a medium build, about 5 feet tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and light brown eyes.
Police ask anyone with information on Dereis’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
