Palani Road in Kona Again Open Between Ulua‘oa Street and Tomi Tomi Drive

UPDATE: Police reported at 1:14 p.m. that Palani Road between Ulua‘oa Street and Tomi Tomi Drive is now open. HPD thanked the public for its patience and asks everyone to drive safely.
Big Island police are advising motorists that a West Hawai‘i roadway is closed because of a traffic incident.
Palani Road in Kona, between Ulua‘oa Street and Tomi Tomi Drive, will be closed for the next hour. Police ask that motorists in the area use Ulua‘oa and Hina Lani streets as detours.
