Kona Couple Charged With Numerous Drug Offenses

A Big Island couple face several drug charges following the execution of a search warrant on a vehicle Thursday, April 28.

According to a media release from police, investigators from the Hawai’i Police Department’s Area II Vice Section served a search warrant Thursday on a vehicle occupied by 37-year-old Jolene L. Dinson and 54-year-old Lincoln L. Dinson, both of Kailua-Kona. Police recovered nearly 35.5 grams of methamphetamine and 5.3 grams of a methamphetamine and fentanyl mixture with a street value of more than $1,500. Also seized was more than $2,100.

Both were subsequently arrested.

Jolene L. Dinson was charged with criminal contempt of court, two counts of first-degree promoting a dangerous drug, one count of second-degree promoting a dangerous drug and one count of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $100,250.

Lincoln L. Dinson was charged with one count of second-degree promoting a dangerous drug and one count of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $25,250.

Their initial court appearance is scheduled for Friday, April 29, in Kona District Court.
