Interagency Warrant Sweep Results in Arrests of 6 Puna Residents

Several Big Island residents were arrested on a total of 10 outstanding warrants as part of an interagency warrant sweep by officers from the Hawai‘i Police Department and state Department of Land and Natural Resources.

The sweep was conducted Wednesday, April 27, in Puna and resulted in the arrest of six wanted individuals. Those arrested were 52-year-old Keone Manoa, 44-year-old Aaron Braatz, 42-year-old Levon Kahee, 22-year-old Kawai Kahee, 44-year-old Thomas Manago and 26-year-old Sateki Nisa. All of them are Puna residents.

The warrants were for contempt of court, violating conditions of bail and parole revocation.

Nisa was also arrested for unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, and a vehicle was recovered that was reported stolen in a burglary incident.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of other wanted fugitives is asked to call the police department’s nonemergency line at 808-935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 808-961-8300 and might be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
