Puna Man Faces Extradition

A 38-year-old Puna man is facing extradition proceedings for parole violations.
Patrick James Richardson III, who was on parole for a 2018 state of New Mexico felony conviction for possession of deadly weapon by a prisoner, was arrested on an outstanding New Mexico parole warrant by officers with the Area I Criminal Investigation Section on March 30.
On Friday, Richardson appeared in Hilo Circuit Court. His bail was set at $100,000. He was ordered to appear for a commitment hearing on April 7.
