South Kohala Brush Fires Contained

Hawai‘i Fire Department reports the two brush fires in South Kohala located approximately 1 ½ miles west of Highway 190 near the 3 Mile Marker, that involved over 500 acres has been fully contained.
During this incident, no structures were threated and no roads needed to be closed. Lightning was believed to be the cause.
