The Honoka‘a Swimming Pool will reopen beginning Wednesday, April 6.

In May of 2019, the pool was closed while the county’s Maintenance Division’s completed an extensive renovation of the pool’s administration office, restrooms, changing rooms, showers, and additional work in the pump room.

Initially, Honoka‘a Pool will operate on a limited schedule and be open for recreational, and lap swimming uses. Individuals may utilize the pool in 45-minute blocks that begin on the following days and times:
– Sundays: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.
– Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m.
The department will look to expand hours and modify operations at the pool in the upcoming months, the county stated in a news release. However, the ability to implement such changes is mainly dependent on staff availability and the number of users served at the pool during this initial period.
