COVID Weekly Update: 92 New Cases Confirmed on Big Island

The state Department of Health reported 1,187 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, March 30, bringing the statewide total to 240,778. Six new fatalities were reported.

A total of 92 new infections were identified Wednesday on the Big Island. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 166,620
Hawaiʻi: 26,234
Maui: 28,359
Kaua‘i: 11,869
Moloka‘i: 947
Lana‘i: 630
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 6,119

Of those total cases, 8,489 required hospitalization with 26 currently hospitalized. At least 1,379 have died since the pandemic began. Hospitalization data is updated Monday through Friday, except on state and federal holidays.
