Update:
Hawaii Police Department stated at 3 p.m. Friday, March 25 to avoid Wainaku Street due to a fire.
A structure fire has closed Wainaku Street between Kaiwiki Road and Highway 19 and will require a detour of traffic for the next 2 hours. Motorists are advised to use Highway 19 in the interim.
The Hawaii Police Department also stated at 2 p.m. Friday to avoid using Manono Street in Hilo due to a current traffic issue, but it reopened around 3:30 p.m.
A vehicle crash had closed Manono Street between Piilani Street and Kuawa Street and required a detour of traffic.
