Public’s Assistance Sought to Locate Missing Utah Man

Big Island police are asking the public to help locate a man who recently arrived on the island.

According to a media release from the Hawai‘i Police Department, 49-year-old Mark Wright was reported missing by family members who are concerned about his welfare. Wright is from Utah and could be in the Puna or South Hilo districts.

He is described as Caucasian with a pale complexion; 5 feet, 8 inches tall; 185-190 pounds; bald with a grey goatee; and blue eyes. He has the Dallas Cowboys insignia tattooed on his right calf.

Police ask anyone with information about Wright’s whereabouts to call the department’s nonemergency line at 808-935-3311 or contact Officer Rodney Delima of the Puna Patrol Division at 808-965-2716.
