Deadline Extended to Apply For Temporary Summer Fun Jobs
Those interested in helping keiki have a fun summer have more time to apply.
The county Department of Parks and Recreation announced in a news release that it extended its deadline seeking applicants for temporary summer employment during the 2022 Summer Fun program.
Applicants must possess a current first aid certification, submit a completed Summer Fun application and be available to work June 2-July 15. Summer Fun starts June 6, following a mandatory two-day training period for all temporary employees.
The program will be hosted at the following sites:
- Honoka‘a Gym
- Pāpa‘ikou Gym
- Pa‘auilo Gym
- Laupāhoehoe Point Gym
- Waikoloa Neighborhood Park (Pu‘u Nui Park)
- Waimea Community Center
- Waimea District Park
- Hisaoka Gym
- Kekuaokalani Gym
- Yano Hall
- Kea‘au Armory
- Nā‘ālehu Community Center
Summer Fun applications are available online, at the Recreation Division office in Hilo and various county gymnasiums located around the island. The department will continue to accept completed job applications until all positions are filled.
