5 Deaths, 184 New Cases Reported Saturday

The state Department of Health reported 184 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 237,167. Five new fatalities were reported.

A total of 19 new infections were identified Saturday on the Big Island. On Friday, the Hawai‘i County Civil Defense reported 428 active cases and seven people hospitalized.

No community testing is scheduled for today or Sunday.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

  • O‘ahu: 164,348
  • Hawaiʻi: 25,934
  • Maui: 28,045
  • Kaua‘i: 11,504
  • Moloka‘i: 938
  • Lana‘i: 626
  • Pending: 0
  • Out-of-State: 5,772

There are currently 74 individuals hospitalized for the virus statewide. A total of 8,342 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,353 have died.
