No Injuries in Mountain View Structure Fire Monday

The Hawai‘i Fire Department reported no injuries in a Monday morning fire in Mountain View that destroyed an unpermitted structure on Kaua‘i Street.

Firefighters were notified around 12:30 a.m. and, upon arrival, found the single-story, wooden structure without utilities fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was under control by 1 a.m. and extinguished at 2:17 a.m. The occupant wasn’t on scene, the department reported. The cause of the fire is undetermined. The loss was estimated at $10,000.
