Authorities are seeking the public’s help locating a man reported missing.

Sixty-six-year-old John Kaʻauwai was last seen in Keaʻau on foot, possibly heading to the Hilo area. He is described as a local male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has shoulder-length grey hair, grey beard and a tan complexion. Hawaii police say Kaauwai has a tattoo “prick” on his left hand.
