2 Deaths, 485 New Cases Reported Friday

The state Department of Health reported 485 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 233,640. Two new fatalities were reported.

A total of 120 new infections were identified Friday on the Big Island. The DOH reported 1,305 active cases, and 18 persons hospitalized.

Testing for today, Friday, is scheduled in North Kona at Old Kona Airport Pavilion from noon to 5 p.m. and in Puna at Pāhoa District Park from 1 to 5 pm.

Testing for tomorrow, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hilo at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium, in South Kohala at Waimea District Park, and in North Kona at Old Kona Airport Pavilion.

Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 5,567

A total of 8,098 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,292 have died.
