Hilton Waikoloa Village Names New Executive Chef

Frederic Hoffmann was named Hilton Waikoloa Village’s new executive chef. the company announced in a press release on Friday, Jan. 28.

Hoffmann will oversee the North Kohala resort’s 12 dining outlets, including the signature Kamuela Provision Company, Nui Italian and Kona Tap Room, as well as catered events and the Legends of Hawai‘i Luau.

“Chef Hoffmann’s career has thrived in Hawaii and around the world,” said Simon Amos, hotel manager at Hilton Waikoloa Village. “We are confident that he will bring out the best of island flavors in all of our restaurants.”

Hoffmann most recently worked as the executive chef at ‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach on O‘ahu. In the Hawaiian Islands, he has also worked as executive chef at St. Regis Princeville Resort on Kaua‘i. Hoffmann has worked for a number of luxury hotels across Canada and the U.S. including the W San Francisco, The Westin Calgary, Le Meridian King Edward Hotel and more.

Hoffmann was educated at the Instituit de Tourism et D’hotellerie du Quebec in Montreal and George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto, where he earned a Certification for Professional Cook with Inter-Provincial Seal.
