Over 3,500 New COVID Cases Reported Statewide

The state Department of Health reported 3,512 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 153,540. Five new fatalities were reported.

A total of 290 new infections were identified Wednesday on the Big Island. The Hawaiʻi Civil Defense reported 3,899 active cases, and 43 persons hospitalized.

A total of 5,384 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,110 have died.
