508 New COVID Cases Reported on Big Island

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 4,789 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 130,856. Four new fatalities were reported.

A total of 508 new infections were identified Thursday on the Big Island. The Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reports 2,500 active cases, and 19 persons hospitalized.

A total of 5,321 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,098 have died.
