Public Safety Department Releases Latest COVID Results

COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in the state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ. The latest testing updates received for other correctional facilities were issued in a press release Tuesday, Jan. 4 and are as follows:

O‘ahu Community Correctional Center – 18 inmate test results; Six positive, 12 negative. One positive staff test result.

Maui Community Correctional Center – Six positive staff test results. One employee has recovered.

Halawa Correctional Facility – Four positive staff test results. Five employees have recovered. 21 negative inmate test results.

Waiawa Correctional Facility – Three (3) positive staff test result.

Kaua‘i Community Correctional Center – Six inmate test results; One positive, five negative. One positive staff test result.

Hawai‘i Community Correctional Center – Eight negative inmate test results.

COVID-19 updates for other PSD Divisions are as follows:

Sheriff Division – Five positive staff test results. Four previously reported positive Sheriff Division employees have recovered.
