The Hawai‘i Police Department advised on Saturday afternoon that motorists should avoid Mauna Kea Access Road due to a traffic accident. A vehicle crash near Hale Pohaku has closed Mauna Kea Access Road for the next four hours, the department stated in a press release at 4:40 p.m. There is currently no alternate route.
