A Keaukaha woman is facing charges in connection to a stolen Dodge pickup from a Pāhoa business last month.

The theft of the truck was originally reported on Nov. 29. Twenty-five-year-old Abrien Alvarez is charged with second-degree theft, first-degree unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and unauthorized possession of confidential or personal information.

At the time of her arrest, Alvarez was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for an unrelated District Court matter.

According to court records, Alvarez is currently pending three other unrelated felony cases, including two unauthorized control of propelled vehicle incidents, and was recently granted supervised release over Prosecutor’s objections on Nov. 22.

Alvarez remains in custody in lieu of $30,000 bail pending her initial appearance today in Hilo District Court.
