Authorities confirm a vehicle crash in Keaʻau early this morning was fatal.
Hawaiʻi police issued an alert at 3:16 a.m. indicating a partial road closure near Kipimana Street intersection on Highway 11 between Keaʻau and Hilo in Puna-bound lanes.
Lanes were reportedly cleared at approximately 5:30 a.m.
It is unknown at this time how many vehicles were involved or how many victims.
