Residents of Waimea and the surrounding areas will get the chance to talk face-to-face with Big Island law enforcement later this week.

Hawaiʻi Police Department’s South Kohala Community Policing Section invites the public to Coffee with a Cop from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the Waimea Starbucks in the Parker Ranch Center.

These popular police outreach events are a great opportunity for community members to engage with their district police officers over a cup of coffee. Topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to answering questions or even discussing neighborhood or community issues.

Attendees are reminded that facial coverings are required and social distancing will be practiced. Tables and chairs will be sanitized after each use.
