The indictment against 53-year-old Gendon Nakata was filed in 3rd Circuit Court on Tuesday, Dec. 14. He is scheduled to make an initial court appearance today. He is currently in custody in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Prosecutors have filed a motion to deny bail.
Aside from the attempted murder offense, Nakata was charged with kidnapping, first-degree terroristic threatening and two counts of felony abuse of a family or household member in connection to an incident that occurred on Dec. 3.
