COVID Cases Climb With Nearly 400 New Infections Reported Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 395 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 90,270. Two new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

A total of 55 new infections were identified on the Big Island. The Department of Health reports 196 active cases, and 4 persons hospitalized.

The state’s daily case average is now 210, with a test positivity rate of 3.1%. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

A total of 5,146 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,065 have died.
