It’s time to make the holiday season merry and bright for some Big Island keiki, and Minit Stop shoppers can help.

Minit Stop is again partnering with Toys for Tots to gather monetary donations for children in need. The fundraiser runs through Sunday, Dec. 19, and donations can be made at any of the nine Minit Stop locations on the island.

Minit Stop and Hawai‘i Petroleum President Kimo Haynes said 2020 was truly a banner year for donations to Hawai‘i Island Toys for Tots thanks to the community’s incredible generosity.

“We are so excited to see what 2021 brings for all of these deserving keiki,” said Haynes.

It also couldn’t be easier to help. Just grab one of the $1 or $5 donation tags for purchase at the store when you stop. And donations remain in Big Island communities – 100% of the funds raised will be given directly to keiki in need.

Local motorcycle clubs also get in on the action, hosting special events and handling the delivery of the toys to Toys for Tots.

Minit Stop and Hawai‘i Petroleum send a huge mahalo to Ron Panzo and his team at Street Bikers United who work with Toy Parade Inc. to purchase and distribute the toys. Without their continued assistance, this wonderful program wouldn’t be the success it is.
