Police Seek Girl Last Seen in Hilo

Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance with finding a runaway.

Shayla-Rae Pomroy was last seen Nov. 22 in the 1700 block of Kino‘ole Street in Hilo. She is described as 5 feet, 6-7 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds, with a medium complexion, black hair, brown eyes and a scar on the back of her neck.

Pomroy was last seen wearing a maroon sweatshirt, black shorts and white sandals. She is thought to frequent the Hilo and Puna districts.

Police ask anyone who might have information about Pomroy’s whereabouts to contact the Hawai‘i Police Department’s nonemergency line at 808-935-3311 or Juvenile Aid Section Officer Corey Kaneko at 808-961-8843.
