Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park will be closed several days this month to allow for the removal of invasive, non-native vegetation.

Parks officials say the closure is for the publicʻs safety, as they will be utilizing helicopters to complete these removals. The park is slated to be closed on Dec. 10, 15, 22 and 30 from 6 to 11 a.m.

The access road to Kaloko Fishpond and parking lot will be closed. The Kaloko gravel road (Ala Nui Kaloko) is located off Highway 19 between mile markers 96 & 97.

For further information call the Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park visitor center at 808-326-9057.
