Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation announced road and lane closures on the Big Island for the week of Dec. 4-10. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

KONA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 115 and 116, Walua Road and Puʻuloa Road, Saturday, Dec. 4 through Friday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

MOUNTAIN VIEW

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 7 and 9, Old Volcano Road and North Road, on Tuesday, Dec. 7 through Friday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

MOUNTAIN VIEW (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 15 and 16, Kopua Road and N Peck Road, on Saturday, Dec. 4 through Friday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 95 and 96, Kukui O Pae Place and Kaohe Road, on Tuesday, Dec. 7 through Friday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 96 and 97, Kaohe Road and Haleili Street, on Saturday, Dec. 4 through Monday, Dec. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

CAPTAIN COOK TO HŌNAUNAU

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 103 and 110, Kiʻilae Road and Aliʻi Drive, on Monday, Dec. 6 through Friday, Dec. 10, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving work.

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 5 and 15, Kahoa Place and Old Māmalahoa Highway, on Tuesday, Dec. 7 through Friday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 6 and 6.5, Kaʻaukai Place and Government Road, on Monday, Dec. 6 through Friday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility work.
