A high surf advisory is in effect for north-facing shores from noon today to 6 a.m. Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Honolulu, surf heights will build to 10 to 15 feet today. Beachgoers should expect strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous.

Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
