14K Gallons of Wastewater Discharged into Pepeʻekeo Coastal Waters
Approximately 14,340 gallons of wastewater were discharged from the Kulaimanu wastewater treatment plant in Pepeʻekeo, the Hawaiʻi Department of Health announced this morning.
The discharge has stopped.
DOH has posted warning signs around coastal water waters fronting Pepeʻekeo Town. The public is advised to remain out of these waters until the signs have been removed.
