The return of the holiday season brings the red kettles.

The Salvation Army’s Hilo Temple Corps is holding a Red Kettle kickoff at KTA Hilo, located at 50 East Puainako Street, on Friday, Nov. 19.

The event will launch Red Kettles in East Hawaiʻi for the holiday season and will include music and Christmas carols from 10 a.m. to noon.

“Your donations to our Red Kettles stay in East Hawaiʻi to support social service programs like food distribution and feeding, at-risk youth services and housing, our Sally store, and more,” said Capt. Sam LeMar, Corps Officer for The Salvation Army Hilo Temple Corps. “So, when you see our Red Kettles this season, please give generously, and help keep hope marching on for those in need.”
