Hawai‘i Police Department will host a “Coffee with a Cop” talk story session in Kona on Friday, Nov. 19.

The event will take place at the Kona Mountain Coffee Co., located at 73-4038 Hulikoa Drive, from 8 to 10 a.m.

Police say these events are part of the department’s ongoing efforts to stay connected to the community. They have no agenda and topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to discussing neighborhood issues.

HPD will adhere to all county-mandated guidelines in relation to COVID-19. The public is asked to maintain six feet of distance between each other and wear masks.

Tables and chairs will be sanitized after each use. This event will be subject to change with regard to COVID-19 restrictions and or additional proclamations issued by county and state government.

For questions regarding the event or Coffee with a Cop in general, contact Kona Community Policing at 808-326-4646 ext. 257, 258, or 259.
