Donkey Mill Art Center is the honored recipient of an Ovation TV 2021-2022 Stand For The Arts Award, which recognizes local arts, cultural and educational organizations and programs.

The $10,000 Stand For The Arts awards support creative/artistic communities via economic and/or mental health recovery connected programs, commitment to accessibility and equity in the arts, and advocacy for underserved populations in their communities.

Ovation TV, America’s only arts network, and its partner Charter Communications, started the Stand For The Arts Award in 2017. Since then, Ovation TV and Charter Communications have given out 50 awards totaling $500,000 towards art education. This year, 15 organizations, including Donkey Mill Art Center, will receive support in Charter markets across the country.

“Donkey Mill Art Center is honored to be one of the recipients of a Stand For The Arts Award,” said Maja Grajski, Executive Director. “It is a testament to Ovation TV’s progressive pulse on community engagement and the power of small organizations to rapidly respond to community needs at a ground-level, accessible scale. This award will directly support our ability to integrate arts and culture in community wellbeing through our Youth Education programs on campus and in area schools.”
