10 New COVID Cases Reported on Hawaiʻi Island

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 81 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 85,709. No new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

A total of 10 new infections were identified on the Big Island Saturday. Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reported 293 active cases, and 10 persons hospitalized.

The state’s seven-day average is now 101 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.7%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 58,576
Hawai‘i: 11,373
Maui: 9,702
Kaua‘i: 2,873
Moloka‘i: 245
Lana‘i: 145
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,795

A total of 4,885 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 976 have died.
