27 Motorists Arrested for DUI From Nov. 1-7

Twenty-seven motorists were arrested for DUI during the week of Nov. 1 through Nov. 7.

Twelve of the drivers were involved in a traffic accident. None of the drivers were under the age of 21. So far this year, there have been 924 DUI arrests compared with 834 during the same period last year, an increase of 10.8%.

There have been 681 major accidents so far this year compared with 659 during the same period last year, an increase of 3.3%

To date, there were 22 fatal crashes, resulting in 22 fatalities, compared with 13 fatal crashes, resulting in 13 fatalities for the same time last year. This represents an increase of 69.2% for fatal crashes and 69.2% for fatalities.
