Big Island Weekly Lane Closures: Nov. 6-12

The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation announced weekly road and lane closures for the week of Nov. 6-12. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

There will be no daytime roadwork scheduled on Thursday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veteran’s Day, unless permitted. Highway 130 special use lanes will not be operational.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

PAHALA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 53 and 54, Maile Street and Kaʻalaiki Road, on Saturday, Nov. 6 through Monday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 98 and 99, on Tuesday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

CAPTAIN COOK TO HŌNAUNAU

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 103 and 110, Aliʻi Drive and Koa Road, on Monday, Nov. 8 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving work.

— HAWAIʻI BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

LAUPAHOEHOE (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 24 and 26, Kaiwilahilahi Stream and Kapili Stream, on Saturday, Nov. 6 through Monday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

— QUEEN KAʻAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —

KONA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Queen Kaʻahumanu Highway (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 96 and 97.5, Ala Nui Kaloko and Kealakehe Parkway, Saturday, Nov. 6 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for drainage work.

— KEAʻAU-PĀHOA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

Single lane closure on Keaʻau-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 0 and 2.1, Hawaiʻi Belt Road and Opukahala Street, Monday, Nov. 8 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., for paving work.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

KAMUELA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 1.5 and 2.5, Waimea-Kohala Airport Road and Māmalahoa Highway, on Saturday, Nov. 6 through Monday, Nov. 8, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder and landscaping work.

KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 3, Waimea-Kohala Airport Road and Māmalahoa Highway, on Tuesday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 12, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

KAPAʻAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 24 and 27, Akana Place and Waikama Road, on Saturday, Nov. 6 through Monday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for shoulder and landscaping work.

KAPAʻAU

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 25 and 27, Makapala Road and Waikama Road, on Tuesday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for landscaping and tree trimming work.
