Big Island Woman Sentenced in 2020 Hit-And-Run
A Big Island woman has been sentenced to five years in prison following a hit and run in Kailua Kona last year.
Keola Kama, 30 years old, pleaded no contest to assault and criminal property damage as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.
She was originally charged with attempted murder after crashing into two victims riding a moped near Old Kona Airport Park and then speeding off.
Both victims were critically injured as a result of the incident.
