Fatal Crash Confirmed on Daniel K. Inouye Highway

UPDATE: Daniel K. Inouye Highway has reopened.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Daniel K. Inouye Highway, also known as Saddle Road, is closed in both directions near mile marker 32 due to a motorcycle crash where a male was killed, Hawaiʻi Police confirmed this morning.
Police received the call about the crash at approximately 8:30 a.m. A road closure alert was sent out at around 9 a.m. Police anticipate the area to be reopened at approximately 11 a.m. Motorists are advised to use Highway 19 or Highway 11 for cross-island travel for the time being.
