19 New COVID Cases Confirmed on Big Island

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 74 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 83,522. No new COVID-related fatalities were also reported.

A total of 19 new infections were identified on the Big Island Tuesday.

The state’s seven-day average is now 121 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 2.3%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 57,548
Hawai‘i: 10,933
Maui: 9,460
Kaua‘i: 2,554
Moloka‘i: 239
Lana‘i: 142
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,646

A total of 4,664 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 888 have died.
